DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n‘My creative story begins at the Florence art high school in 1968, a year filled with student protests and revolutionary turmoil.Life after high school brought me through hardships working in commerce for 42 years but never preventing me from continuing my artistic activity. For many years I experimented with various avenues in visual art, a period in which drawing and sculpture prevailedthat led me to look for new materials and forms of expression. \nAn important moment was when I discovered a great artist, Alberto Giacometti, who enabled me to understand what for mehas always been important: man’s condition of loneliness,His getting lost in the space that defines his boundaries.\nFrom the representation of the human body I have moved toward an abstract image that allows me the non-identification of the individual, a return to the effigy without character or race, a universal figure that I can place in contexts without reference to place or situation.\nWhat I seek is to isolate in time and space a condition that belongs to all of us. My figures can be skeletal or exaggeratedly bloated with abnormal bellies supported by thin legs, and all stand for a funny realization of our existential fragility.”.\n\n\n\n\n
