Il corallo di Trapani è il protagonista del progetto “Hand in Hand” di Fendi. L’iconica borsa disegnata da Silvia Venturini Fendi nel 1997 sarà reinterpretata e realizzata a mano da 20 maestri artigiani, uno per ogni regione d’Italia, utilizzando le tecniche più particolari e tradizionali. Il “mastru curaddaru” Platimiro Fiorenza è specializzato nella lavorazione del corallo, secondo un’antica arte che risale al XVI secolo e che è stata denominata “Tesoro umano vivente”.
