Bianco Bianchi – Giardino Dorato
For a project by Starhotels, curated by Fondazione Cologni, Fondazione CR Firenze, Oma Firenze and Gruppo Editoriale
The Bianco Bianchi workshop brought Giardino Dorato to the stage, a decorative panel made of lightly marbled scagliola in shades of white – ivory. Alessandro Bianchi says, “The satisfaction and gratification behind a work that led us to have arrived for the second year in a row among the ten finalists at the Rosa Grand Milano (out of 164 candidates) of the second edition of the contest “La Grande Bellezza – The Beauty of Nature,” is something truly indescribable. Thank you from the deepest of our hearts to everyone who believed in us and our know-how.”

The design, inspired by oriental atmospheres and the Chinoiserie style also very much in vogue among 17th-century scagliola decorations, is rich in flowers, leaves, birds and butterflies in flight and made with the graffito technique expertly used by 17th-century scagliola masters here reinterpreted in a more contemporary way with the inclusion of gold leaf to remind us of the preciousness of the good Nature.
